Ashland Survivors and Guerrilla Fighters

The Plains Nomads are hardened survivors of Abol’s ash-choked farmlands, fighters who know the terrain better than any formal army. Lightly armored but highly mobile, these insurgents rely on speed, concealment, and smoke to maneuver through hostile territory and strike when opponents least expect it.

Nomads do not fight like conventional troops. They move through hidden paths, abandoned tunnels, and broken farmland, appearing suddenly to harass enemy forces before disappearing back into the landscape. Encounters with them often feel less like a battle and more like fighting the land itself—unpredictable, relentless, and impossible to fully suppress.

Guerrilla Warfare and Endless Reinforcements

On the tabletop, Plains Nomads represent resilient skirmishers who use smoke and mobility to protect their movements and reposition quickly. Their greatest strength lies in their persistence—when one Nomad falls, others seem to emerge from hidden routes to continue the fight.

They can be used as part of a main force or introduced as third-party hostile units in scenarios such as those found in the Wetwork and Labyrinth expansions, making them a versatile addition to narrative missions and scenario play.
